On October 5, 2024, at Montreal’s Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, at Parc Jean-Drapeau, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Race Options
1 km (run, walk and/or strollers) or 5 km (run).
Registration Fees
There are no fees to sign up, but you will be encouraged to raise donations through your fundraising page.

RBC Race For The Kids
Let’s lace up and go even farther … together!
This marks the fifth year in a row that the RBC Race for the Kids will be supporting the young patients and teams in the Sainte-Justine community. The multifaceted family fun run raised a whopping $735,000 for Sainte-Justine last time around. This year, we expect runners of all levels to help us go even farther, both on the tracks of Parc Jean-Drapeau’s Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and in fundraising for the cause.

Perfect for our younger racers and a great way to introduce them to the joys of running. Together, let’s do our part for Sainte-Justine!

For teens and adults: a nice challenge for those who are new to the experience and a relaxed run for experienced racers!

Perseverance, one step at a time
In summer 2022, Samuel developed a slight limp, which his parents at first chalked up to a growth spurt. But when the pain got worse, they took him into a nearby medical clinic to be evaluated. After all, hockey season was just around the corner, and Samuel, the consummate athlete, had to be ready.
That’s when they were catapulted into the world of Sainte-Justine. The diagnosis was as quick as it was unsettling: osteosarcoma. The same aggressive form of bone cancer that claimed the life of Terry Fox in 1981.

A worldwide race in support of children
Launched in 2009, the RBC Race for the Kids has raised $93 million to date for various children’s charities around the world. Last year, more than 1,700 runners laced up for Sainte-Justine to help take patient care and pediatric research to the next level—and make a difference in the lives of families across the province.

Will I be issued a tax receipt for my donation?
A tax receipt will be prepared for any gift and sent to the email address used to make the donation once the event is over.
Do I have to pay registration fees?
Your registration for the RBC Race for the Kids is free. We encourage you to make a donation within your means and to ask those around you ton sponsor your fundraiser for the benefit of the cause through your fundraising page. If you make a donation to your own fundraising page (or someone else’s page), you will receive a tax receipt for this amount.
How much do I need to raise to take part in the race?
The suggested target indicated in the fundraising platform is $250, although you can change this amount to suit your personal preferences and personal goals.
Can we raise funds for Sainte-Justine without taking part in the race?
Of course — and thank you! You can sign up here by selecting the virtual option to create a fundraising page and distribute it in your network. It’s a great way to show your support to Sainte-Justine if you can’t attend the event in Montreal on October 5, 2024, but plan to get moving in your local area
How are donations used?
Donations are directed to the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation, whose mission is to engage the community and support Sainte-Justine in its pursuit of excellence and its commitment to providing children and mothers-to-be with one of the highest standards of health care in the world, now and in the future. Thank you for helping the families to grow beyond our current limitations in pediatric health, today and tomorrow.
